A free PONTUS field manual

The Blueprint.
From nothing, in 31 days.

A day-by-day field manual for building a lifestyle travel brand from zero. Free, no upsell, no catch.

The Arc

Five movements.
Thirty-one days.

From a blank document on Day 1 to the foundations of a real lifestyle travel publication and a closed travel club on Day 31. The Blueprint moves through five deliberate phases — and ends with a one-year horizon written in present tense.

I
Days 1–7

Foundation

Before you build anything outward, you must know what you stand on.
Your reasons. Your three pillars. The name. The voice. The one reader. The free stack. The first reflection. Seven days that decide the next twelve months.
II
Days 8–14

The Digital Home

Your website is not a brochure. It is the room people walk into.
Ship the minimum-viable site. Write the homepage hero. Take the first hero photograph — yours, with EXIF intact. Set up email capture. Publish your first article. Index it. Reflect.
III
Days 15–21

The First Cluster

One article is a piece of writing. Three articles linked together is a system.
Plan a three-article cluster. Write the comparison piece. Write the opinion piece. Design Pinterest pins. First backlink outreach — five hand-written emails. Internal-link pass. Reflect.
IV
Days 22–28

The Community

Audience is rented. Community is yours.
Define your closed community. Make five real invitations. Set up the weekly ritual. Write the nurture sequence. Begin the second cluster. Run the first ritual. Refine the offer in your readers' words.
V
Days 29–31

The Launch and the Horizon

Day 31 does not end the work. It begins it, in public.
Public launch — a single, honest note sent to people who know you. Measure honestly, once, then put the numbers away. Day 31: write the one-year horizon in present tense, sign it, file it for the next checkpoint.
Plus
A foreword on why this exists. A one-year horizon spread written in present tense — what your project becomes if you protect the standards. An appendix carrying the voice principles, the photo standards, the SEO checklist, and the six laws of the mindset manual.
31
Days, in Order
Each day fully briefed — why it matters, the work in numbered actions, time required, today's success looks like, a founder's note. No vagueness, no filler.
5
Movements
Foundation. The Digital Home. The First Cluster. The Community. The Launch and the Horizon. Each phase has its own arc and its own seventh-day reflection.
1
Year Horizon
A closing spread written in present tense — what your project looks like twelve months on if you do the work in order, reflect every seventh day, and protect the standards.

The community side

There’s a community
behind the manual.

PONTUS is a publication. It is also a community built around a private travel membership platform — competitive pricing on hotels and travel experiences, with the option to refer others and earn from a network-based model. Transparent. In place for over a decade.

If the Blueprint resonated with you, the community page explains how it all fits together — the membership model, the weekly huddle, and the four commitments members make to one another.

Foreword
Why This Exists
A field manual, not a marketing funnel. Written from inside the work — by someone with the residue still on his hands. The hardest day in the next thirty-one is not Day 1.

The Standards
Voice principles. Photo standards (original, EXIF preserved, naming convention). The SEO checklist. The six laws of the mindset manual. What comes after Day 31.
A Taste of What's Inside

A field manual.
Not a funnel.

This guide is not theory written by someone who studies brand building. It is the same system used to build PONTUS itself — written from inside the work, day by day, with the standards visible on every page.

Day-by-day briefings — every day has why-it-matters, the work in numbered actions, time, a "today's success looks like" callout, and a founder's note in italic
The seventh-day reflection — non-negotiable. The only mechanism that prevents you from systematising a wrong premise. Built into the arc, not bolted on
The voice principles — refusal to write generically, in your own words, in first person. The residue of refusal, not a style guide of approved adjectives
The photo standards — original photography only, EXIF preserved, naming convention, two-thousand-pixel ceiling, JPEG quality eighty-three. Carry them
The SEO checklist — title under sixty-five characters, meta description under one hundred and sixty, schema markup, mobile breakpoints. Same checklist that runs PONTUS
The one-year horizon — Day 31 closes by writing your twelve-month vision in present tense. Signed by you. Filed for the next checkpoint

"Start before you are ready. You will never be more ready than you are right now."

— Yaron Askal | PONTUS · The Blueprint, Foreword
From the Mindset Manual
"The people who quit say: 'It is not working.' The people who make it say: 'It is not working — yet.' The difference between those two sentences is the difference between Day 7 and Day 365."
